Pregnancy Scare

Okay so I am freaking out and unsure if what's happening with my body?
I last had unprotected sex (withdrawal) December 14th.
Freaked out. Took 2 tests on 12/21 and 12/22 and both were negative. Got my period on 12/23.
After I was still nervous about pregnancy so I took another test on 1/3 which was negative.
Got a blood test on 1/25 which was negative.
Got a heavy, bleeding through my pants type of period on 1/26.
I was finally relieved then February flew by and no menstrual period.

So I took a test on February 28th and March 4rth, both were negative.
Now it is March 5th and I have no menstrual period.
I am so worried and stressed out. I am 80 days/2.5 months post sex, have not been intimate since.
I am in my early twenties btw.

Hi, Anon.

Thank you for your post.

You have been having your periods, so you are not pregnant, which all your pregnancy tests have proven. You don't need to keep taking them.

Many things can cause a late or irregular period besides pregnancy. Emotional stress, illness, excessive weight loss or weight gain, over exercising, or a hormonal imbalance. Contact your doctor if your periods continue to be irregular.

Thank you so much for replying. I really appreciate someone talking too me. So even if I skipped the entire month of February, I can trust that I'm not pregnant? I'm nervous because I have never skipped a month or cycle before. I did get BC pills in January that I was waiting to take after my February period, which never came. Is it okay for me to start a pack or should I wait?

Hi.

Waiting for the day of your period provides you with effective contraception from the first day of taking the Pill. Another reason is that starting the Pill on the first day of your period means you are less likely to have any erratic bleeding during the first cycle of Pill taking. That does not mean you can't start sooner if you'd rather. Speak to your doctor about it.

Hello, same poster here.
I had a scheduled blood and urine test on March 6th. Both tests were 25 hcg sensitive, which were negative. It is now the 44th day of my cycle and 85 days since intercourse. How long should I allow my period to go missing before contacting my doctor? If so, should I request a quantitative blood test and ultrasound next time? I am getting nervous because as more time goes on, if this is pregnancy, my choices will become limited. Please help, I am stressing out.

You can call your doctor anytime. Explain the situation. He may say to wait to start the pills or begin them. You need to stop thinking you are pregnant. There has been no evidence to suggest this. As I mentioned, there are other reasons why periods can be irregular. Hormonal imbalance among them. This is something you need to see your doctor about as I suggested initially.
