I live in a country where such things are very taboo. My last period was on 22-8, we humped on 1 sep, he had nothing on I had my jeans/jeggings and underwear on while I was on top he came on my jeans to the upper left of my vaginal area and I stayed in my pants for one or 2 minutes before going to take a shower. I know from you website that I cant be pregnant this way but a few things have happened. On the 12th I had brown spotting that turned red for a couple if days then stopped im worried it may be implantation? ?, and now im about a week late I thought I got my period 2 days ago but it has only been red spotting that has now also stopped. I do have pcos and I started to take metformin and statins for my cholesterol. What do you make of this.

Thank you for your quick reply maryann, so there is no chance if clothes where on?

I was put on metformin for my pcos, i was on it for 6 months and it regulated my cycle i stopped in april and since then i have become irregular so my doc put me back on it.

I might be able to explain the 2nd spotting i got i sometimes get it when im late, but the first spotting what could thay be, it got me worried as it falls around the implantation dates.

Thank you

Hello Anonymous,

You really need to speak with your doctor about this.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to us for advice.

You could not have become pregnant because you were both wearing clothes.
Thus, the brown spotting was not implantation bleeding.

You have PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome, which is a common endocrine system disorder.
Infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods, excess hair growth, acne, and obesity can all occur in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

In adolescents, infrequent or absent menstruation may raise suspicion for the condition.

Anonymous, did your doctor explain this to you? Do you have a history of irregular periods?

Metformin helps control blood sugar levels and is for people with type 2 diabetes.
Have you been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes?

Anonymous, I think your concerns about your period are linked to PCOS and not to the medications which you are taking. But, to be sure, check with your doctor.

Regards,
Maryann
