And ended it March 9th. I started my new pack of birth control March 10th knowing the antibiotics could knock it out still..March 12th I had sexual intercourse unprotected.I havent had any signs of pregnancy..(which i wouldnt expect so early on in the game.) But my vaginal discharge is dry.

Hi Ktann,

Thanks for your post. If you had unprotected sex March 12, you wouldn't have any signs or symptoms of pregnancy just yet. Despite popular belief, pregnancy isn't something that occurs instantly-- it is a process that may take about a week long... From the moment when you're having sex until the sperm actually makes it to the ovum to fertilize it. During this time, you don't feel anything unordinary.

It is impossible to tell if you are pregnant or not. All we can do here at EmpowHer is speculate based on the information you give us. It is possible that you still had antibiotics in your system and they may have interfered with your birth control pills but it is also quite possible that the pills did their job and you were protected.

What you can do to find out if you're pregnant is take a home pregnancy test once you are actually late on your period.

Best Wishes,

Rosa
