Q:

Pregnant?

I'm pretty nervous… My and my boyfriend were fooling around but he still had boxers on. That being said, there was no penetration and no ejaculation. He said that he immediately felt his boxers and they weren't wet so he's no sure if there was pre-ejaculation. My concern is that his penis may have come out of the slit in his boxers without either of us noticing. Three days later, I've had a slight, practically constant pain in my lower abdomen as well as my stomach "gurgling". I've been very nervous about this so I'm not sure if I'm causing my symptoms or if they are real. Is it possible I am pregnant?

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am so glad you reached out to us.

You can relax because you could not have become pregnant while fooling around. Without penetration of his penis into your vagina and no ejaculation, there was no chance for pregnancy to occur.

Anxiety is causing all of your symptoms. You might find this slide show helpful, "Am I Pregnant? Myths and Facts About Sex" https://www.empowher.com/pregnancy/content/am-i-pregnant-myths-and-facts-about-sex

Sorry but just for peace of mind, I want to clarify my situation.
He had boxers on but I had nothing on. We were i guess you could call it "dry humping"? so his penis was near my vagina. however he did have boxers on and as far as we know there was no skin on skin contact. He didn't notice any wetness but could pre-ejaculation be an issue?

Hi Anonymous,

To give you peace of mind, there was no risk of becoming pregnant.

Since your vagina is inside of your body, and he was wearing boxers, there was no way his penis came in contact with your vagina.

Pre ejaculate fluid itself does not contain sperm. Again, he was wearing boxers, and any fluid would have been trapped.

Maryann

I figured there was a incredibly small chance if any, but the pain scared me! Thank you so much for responding!
