my doc put me on nuvaring feb 2013.so i took it as told for that month....i then took ring.out.on the 10th of march for my free week and got my period on the 14th of march.i was due to put a new ring in on the 17th which was sunday so i did..well then on the 23 of marh which was thay following saturday i decided to discontinue nuvaring so i took it out...i had what i considered withdrawal bleeding on.the 27-29 of march...i was due for my period on april 11 which wud have been my.free week in april but i never got my period....it is now three days late...oh btw after i took out the ring.in march i had unprotected sex thay night and the other following days so my question is wud a preg test be able to determine a preg? or shud i wait longer and c if.i bleed.soon?????

Thank you for your question. Take a pregnancy test since you have missed your regular period. It may take a couple months (lets say about 2 months) before your periods return to normal after you have used some sort of birth control method. In the meantime, if you remain sexually active, be sure to use another backup method to avoid pregnancy. I hope this helps. Good luck.
