Im 20 years old, and last month I left home to move 12 hours away to live with my boyfriend, my periods have never been more then 32 days apart (uasally are 28-30 days), but last month due to all the stress from moving It was 36 days. Since then I have been having regular unprotected sex, and right now im going on 4 days late (or 32 days).
My breasts are always sore before I start my period and even when im late, my breasts are sore the entire time. Right now being 4 days late, they are not sore at all. I feel no diffrent except the last 2 days I have been more tired then uasal.
Could the stress from last month still be effecting my period?

Hi Anonymous,
February 16, 2011 - 11:48amThank you for your question. Stress can cause some women to be late with a period. However, if you are having regular, unprotected sex, you are increasing your risk for pregnancy. To resolve your concern, you may want to take a home pregnancy test. Here are a few things to remember.
According to babycenter.com:
the test measures the hormone hCg in your urine
hCG first enters your blood about 6 days after fertilization
the amount of hCG increases rapidly after that
So, You're much more likely to get an accurate result if you wait a week after your expected period before testing.
Hope this is helpful.
