Pregnant roommate...

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now to no avail. My good friend and her husband just moved in with us and are expecting their second child. Now I am two weeks late to start my menstral cycle. I'm always regular with my cycle, and dont feel like I am about to start any time soon. I have already taken two pregnancy tests, different brands even, and both were negative. Could my pregnant friends hormones be throwing off my cycle this severely?
Thanks for any help on this situation.

Hi Still_Trying111,

If you are two weeks late, you should see a doctor.  You might be pregnant or many other conditions can cause changes to your cycle.

Best,

Daisy

First off, thank you for you for your advice. I plan to see a doctor as soon as I can. I am currently two weeks late and have started lightly spotting. Do you think I should be concerned?

Hi Still_Trying111,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I don't think your friends pregnancy can be doing anything to your cycles. It might be just your mind and stress that might be affecting your cycle.  But, it's still important to see a doctor if you are that late.  Others conditions can also cause a missed period.

Best,

Daisy
