Pressure/Pain in Lower Abdomen/Pelvis??

Hi there.
I am pretty worried about what's going on. I'm 16 years old, and I have pain/ pressure on the left and right sides of my pelvis when I push to poop/pee, as well as bending down or standing up from a sitting position. It has been two days and I've been trying to wait it out. The pressure and pain varies in presence but is more present on my left side. It hurts when I masturbate (I use an object inside ), so Ive stopped that for a while. My lower abdomen particularly hurts when I try to pass gas as well as my bowel movements. I haven't had my period for a couple of months, and it has always been irregular. I don't know if that is relevant information but I'm throwing that in there as well.
Does any one know what I have? And will the problem resolve on its own??

Guide

Hello AA2443,

Thank you for reaching out to us for advise regarding your concern about lower abdominal pain that has persisted for two days. Have you told one of your parents about this? If not, please do and have your parent call your primary care physician's office as soon as possible.

The descending colon, left ovary, kidney, sigmoid colon, left ureter, the uterus and the bladder are located in the lower left quadrant of your abdomen. A problem with any one of these can be the cause of your symptoms.

AA2443, don't wait this out and hope it will go away. A call to your doctor and physical exam will give you the answer you are looking for.

Please keep us updated.

Regards,
Maryann
