Q:

Put spermicidal condom on backwards and then switched it. Pregnancy?

My boyfriend and I had sex on December 29th. When he was putting the condom on he realized he had put it on backwards (oops!) and immediately switched it. We were hot tubbing before, if that makes a difference, and he had just finished wiping off the excess water off of his penis. He said he was sure there was no precm on the tip of his penis before he put the condom on wrong, however my last period was on December 17th and the 29th is around the estimated time of ovulation so I can't help but worry that one little sperm got in there somehow. The condom was spermicidal and he withdrew before he ejaculated, even though he was using a condom. I was just inquiring to see if anyone had experienced the same thing or new the likelihood of me being pregnant. Thank you to anyone who can help.

Hello jennysanders,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community and thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.

I have not personally had such an experience, but I think you should have been protected since he put the condom on properly before intercourse.

The only sure way to know is by getting your period.

Regards,

So the chance of pregnancy is really slim to none?

Hi jennysanders,

Yes. I think the chance of pregnancy is really slim to none.
