Hello I have a medical question. For about over a year now, everyday i gag and almost puke and burp constantly, anything i eat or drink triggers pain, leaves bad tastes like sour stomach type of feeling. gas a lot of the time, and constipation. lower left side of stomach constantly inflamed. i cannot move on my left side or it gets extreme pain. sleeping on the left side makes symptoms worse also. i have recently noticed about 20lb. weight loss in a few weeks, usually tan but turning pale.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your question.

You need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist. These symptoms indicate a serious problem in your digestive system and should not be ignored. With diagnostic testing, such as an endoscopy and colonscopy, the cause can be determined.

Gagging on food could be a sign of a problem in your esophagus. The bad taste can mean acid reflux disease. Abdominal bloating and constipation might mean you have irritable bowel syndrome.

Sudden weight loss and persistent, severe left sided pain could indicate a very serious condition.

Regards,
Maryann
