Seafood makes my vagina smell

So this might seem like a weird problem but ever since I can remember when I eat seafood such as fish, scallions, shrimp, etc. It cause my vagina to have a fishy smell. Its always the next day after I eat the seafood and only lasts for that one day, then its back to its normal, odorless smell. Their is no change in discharge, its not thicker or abnormally colored, there is no burning or itching or any other symptoms. Is this normal? Could this be some weird allergic reaction? Thanks!

Just to add, I'm a man and I suffer exactly the same problem. My penis smells like fish for a day or two after I've eaten seafood, sometimes it is very strong. I've noticed it more from cooked fried fish, which is awkward as I live in the UK and love fish and chips. I'll give the cranberry and lemon juice a try.

I love scallops and recently made a very large batch of sautéed with noodles. My fridge smells, my freezer smells and I smell. The scallops were fine, not gone bad. That sweet smell of cooked scallops has just overwhelmed my netherlands. Will not eat that again for a long time.

I I have this problem as well, and everyone I know that has this same problem is "O" blood type, including myself. I'm not sure why it happens, but it is not pleasant. And the stronger the seafood smells as you're eating it, the stronger your vaginal secretions smell the day or so after.

My vagina never smells Except for a few times in my life that I had vaginal vaginosis. In the last couple years I have noticed that I smell like any sea food or sting seasoned foods I eat. Tonight I had mussels in white wine garlic butter. Tonight I smell like that appetizer

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I have issues with fish as well as garlic. I love the two and would hate giving them up, so I’ll try the cranberry pills. Thanks a bunch!

I have this problem too whenever i eat seafood products. Drinking cranberry juice definitely worked for me, but lately, I've tried drinking a red wine (like merlot) and that seems to work as well. I just assumed i had a great eliminating system and that's why the smell...but for sure unsweetened cranberry juice worked.

Hi. The name for the condition we have is - TRIMETHYLAMINURIA. Google this and you will find a lot of information about it. I've made sure all my doctors know I have this condition. Most of them are surprised and unaware of it but it's good thy know about it.

Thanks for all the suggestions to help mitigate the affects of eating fish!
