severe foot pain on the bottom of my feet...hurts to stand on them and has lasted for 4 weeks now.

I awoke one morning and when I got out of bed, it hurt like crazy to stand on my feet. The pain continued very persistently for 3+ weeks... extremely tender in the morning, gradually getting better during the day, and increasing again in evenings. It felt like my foot had collapsed in the middle where the arch is, except I still had an arch there. On the inside of my feet there was slight swelling and slight discoloration . It has now been close to 5 weeks and the pain is getting to be less and less, but not gone completely yet. Accompanying this I also experienced pain and problems in my knees, and in a very unsystematic way, also had problems bending my knees. This would shift though....one day it was one leg and the next the the other leg, then it would subside and it would return..... It was so severe at one point, that just 2 weeks ago, I could barely go up and down stairs. The knee situation seems to have improved now and have not experienced that in the past 6 days now. Any ideas?

I've had planterfac. For 8 years 2 surgeries later not any better. I tried injections, foot splint in bed, herbal meds, tape, wrap Etc for the first year before I decided last resort of any foot surgery. pain is 24 / 7 still no better. My suggestion if need be Try everything as I did for about 1 year then try 1 Surgery Second Surgery was a mistake only made matters worse . Good Luck

It sounds like your Achilles tendons. I had the same, told a woman at work. She said to make sure to stretch that heel and the back part going up your leg from the heel. Just put your heel on a step an without raising your foot off the step just pull your foot towards you and hold it. Do the same on the other side Every morning and every night.

I have the same thing but only in the morning. I get up and as soon as my feet hit the ground the bottom of both feet hurt. I hobble around and eventually within 10 minutes it goes away. It's been like this for over a month. I walk a lot and thought maybe that was the cause. My sister inaw is a nurse and said I should be tested for Lyme ?

I have this exact issue as the first post. It has nothing to do with Plantar Faciatis. If anyone has a doctor to consult please advise.

ok, so unsure why i could not comment, but i did reply..let's see if it lets me..so I have this SAME thing...only I have had a ton of symtoms in my body coming from EVERY system in my body..when i get up in the morning , it hurts like crazy to stand on my feet, NOT JUST MY HEELS (I've had that plantar thing, this is NOT that :) )..sometimes if I've sat for a bit, it happens again when i stand (worst in morning though)..I believe, ONE, there is a more serious issue going on, TWo, you need to get your digestive track under control, THREE, get on an anti-inflammatory plan. I have been tested for sooo many things, i am not TECHNICALLy allergic to any food or whatever, but most foods bother me, i can't even list all my symtoms..it may be Lupus, but my body acts like i have Diabeetes, Muscular Distrophy, sooo many things...i'm sure i have an autoimmune disease causing all of this. bottom line, please get your health, what you take into your body under control, including cleaning agents, stuff you put on your skin, of course food, try to find a functional medicine doc...look online, some have had testing even if they are not listed as that...be your OWN advocate, write stuff down...docs will just cover stuff up...

I have been having the same pain & symptoms as everyone has noted above and got tested for neuropathy and was diagnosed with neuropathy of the feet and hands. It is very painful and am told is was causes these pains. What stuck out the most was your comments about your digestive tract and about how there's a lot of food you can eat. Have you ever been tested for IBS or Crohn's disease? I asked because of been reading your comment it's like I was reading my issues. There are more fades I cannot eat than I can. 22 years ago I was 16 he was being told by two doctors that I had been over since her stomach because my stomach was bothering him a lot. So I dismissed it until 22 years later i get to where i can hardly eat not knowing if my stomach is going tO hurt or not. CAlled my family dr. Which is specializes n a wide range of things( an husband a cardiologist),also called a gastroenterologist and started going through test.. As of now they say that they cant yet rule out chrone's disease.. But im about 95% sure it is IBS OR IBC. Digestive tract is soooo slow .. It gets agervating when i want to take meds for pain or heart burn for an example ... After i take pill it will not start to effect me for alteast 10-12 hrs... Also the blood thing... Well tho u cant physically see anything wrong with my legs doesnt mean there is nothing wrong... Ive got deep vericose veins soo bad n my legs but yet cant see them.... N e way to make a long story short. Try taking A blood builder by Mega Foods, works really good. Can get it at a vitamin& herbal store. Also Curamin - CuraMed.. Read up on Terry(maker of product)
