severe pneumonia

Hi there.. would like to ask is it safe for my boy, 4yrs old to fly/travel? He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia with underlying bronchitis. he was admitted in ICU for 1 week and paediatric ward for 1 month. for 2 years he is using home oxygen therapy program. Now he only use oxygen concentator during night time. His oxygen level is 94%.

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

Plane fights are hard on the physical health for any person.  The longer you are on the flight the more sickness is prone to spread.  

From what you have said, your boyfriend seems in stable physical condition.  If he chooses to take a flight he should make should to stay very hydrated, and eat very healthy to fortify his immune system before the trip.

I also suggest that you ask his doctor if a trip is prudent for his specific case.
