Shorter Period

I am currently on Kariva Birth Control. I missed one pill in my second week, and ended up taking two in the same day. I had sex that same day, but it was also protected. However, the next day I had some brown discharge and some blood (about nine days before my period was due). The brown blood and some red blood continued throughout the week. Now, I have still had little blood, varying shades of red, but mainly brown. But now I think that that my cycle has stopped. I am very concerned. I am also being treated for severe depression, have been very stressed, and am taking Celexa and Wellbutrin. I don't know what to think

Hi tee_mik,
No, I don't think there is a chance of pregnancy. My concern, from what you have shared, is that your period began nine days early and that you are bleeding for more than one week. I don't know why this happened and that is why I said to ask your doctor.

Do you think that there is a chance of pregnancy though? Even though I am bleeding some during my normal period time?

Hello tek_mik,
I think this is a question that will be best answered by your gynecologist. The vaginal bleeding is a concern and I do not think it was caused by a missed dose of birth control since you made up for it.
Please keep us posted.
