I'm still scared of getting pregnant because the day I had intercourse that night I bled while I urinated and I was spotting then I took the pill the second day and I was spotting for 3-4 days and now the spotting is gone my period is due in the middle of April should I be worried ?

Guide

Hello princessjt,

Welcome again to EmpowHER. The bleeding and spotting shows you that the emergency contraceptive pill worked and you did not become pregnant.

A change in the menstrual cycle is a reported side effect. Your period for April can start on time, but could start earlier or later than expected. Flow can be lighter or heavier than normal.

Regards,
Maryann
