Welcome to EmpowHER.  Am not a doctor to make that kind of decision.  But I can advise you in, talking to your doctor about it and asking him your options as far as treating your thyroid.  Not all thyroid conditions need to have surgery.  You might want to get a second opinion from another Endocrinologist.
