Hi, I was seen by a breast surgeon awhile ago due to under arm and breast pain until I saw a dermatologist and diagnosed me with the condition hidradenitis suppurativa. I want to know for such thing should I let my breast surgeon know about this that the dermatologist treated me for such matter? My oncologist and dermatologist has been helping me all the way and I don't know if this is something that I should let my breast surgeon know. Do you think I should mention it to him? Please let me know soon.
Thanks,
Melissa

No, it is not something to mention to your breast surgeon.

Thanks for your reply. I was seen by a breast surgeon for second opinion because of under arm and breast pain. Even though the dermatologist treated me for this I kept wondering if it's something I should notify my breast surgeon. That's what I'm wondering about. So you think it's not something to mention to my breast surgeon?
Thanks,

As you know, hidradenitis suppurativa s a chronic skin inflammation marked by the presence of blackheads and one or more red, tender bumps (lesions). The lesions often enlarge, break open and drain pus. This is not a condition treated by a breast surgeon and I do not see the need to notify him about this.
