The leaflet in the packet says that i should stop taking them until i start my next packet
i came on half way through my packet, after i had stopped taking them
now its the proper time when i am supposed to due on and i havent come on!
what does this mean? is it normal? should i take a test?

any answers will be greatly appreciated thanks x

The most thing that i am scared of is incase i am pregnant, im only 18 and not really ready to have a child, in my opinion i am not old enough nor wise enough.
im not on any other medications, i just happened to forget to take my pill for a few days, therefore i stopped taking it until the end of the month and until i start my new packet next week.
when i stopped taking it, i came on my period, although it wasnt a proper period if you get me, it was more like just brown discharge.
now i am supposed to be on my period, i was supposed to come on monday, its now friday and i havent had anything
could it be possible i am pregnant?

Hey Chelsea, thanks for your question. According to youngwomenshealth.org "If you miss one or more pills and miss a menstrual period, keep taking your pills but see your health care provider for a pregnancy test. If you miss two menstrual periods in a row, you should see your health care provider to see if you are pregnant, even if you missed no pills. Keep taking your pills in the meantime. Missing menstrual periods or having a very light menstrual flow is extremely common and does not mean there is anything wrong with you."

Also, other medications can affect the menstrual cycle. Are you on other medications, have you changed your diet, flown a long distance or experienced stress?

And you may want to circle back with your health care provider to find out more information. Thanks and look forward to hearing back from you.
