Q:

Should i worry about being pregnant?

I had unprotected sex 3 days after starting Loestrin 24 Fe birth control. My partner pulled out in time but wasn't sure if he had cum inside me, so i took plan b one step 4 hrs after the accident just in case. This was about 5 days before expected ovulation. I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms except for moderately heavy brown spotting (which i assume is because this is the first month on birth control). i am still 1 week away from my period. My BBT is normal, my breasts are not tender, and i am not showing any other signs. Should i be worried about being pregnant?

Anon - The spotting may be a side effect from using an emergency contraceptive. The following article provides more information about them. https://www.empowher.com/sex-amp-relationships/content/emergency-contraception-update-2011
