Hi, I have constant post nasal drip a lot. My throat got scratchy n I gav the symptoms to my bf. Then after a week my tonsils got swollen w. white spots n slight soreness n the white spots left but they still appear swollen. No fever or anything. Now I have a bad taste in mouth for the past week and after I eat it feels that some food particles are in my throat. I took some docycline antibiotics but it didn't help. Me and my boyfriend have been dating since February; I became afraid he gave me some kind of oral disease but im pretty sure it wud have been appeared after two months. Could it be my post nasal drip causing these symptoms and or a disease???? Thank you

Hi [email protected],

Welcome to EmpowHER.  White spots on your throat, can be a sign of an infection such as Strep Throat.  If left untreated, Strep throat can cause more serious illnesses, such as rheumatic fever, a disease that may harm the heart valves. You need to see your doctor soon, so he can do the proper testing and prescribe the right treatment if it was Strep Throat.

Here are some resources for you
