Hi Anon

Thank you for your post!

You really do need to need an evaluation to determine what's actually wrong with your knee in order to know how to treat the issue. You could have anything from arthritis, issues with cartilidge or muscle,  or even some kind of break, fracture or tear. Therefore you need a diagnosis in order to know how to treat whatever injury of condition you have.

However, there are alternatives to surgery like physical therapy, walking aids and pain management. These could be options for you but you must see a doctor first. Are you avoiding surgery due to cost, or issues with aftercare?

hi susan,
my mother suffer from a similar situation..extreme knee pain. she cannot walk even 100 m now
are there treatment without surgery? Another problem she has bent leg. her left leg is bent inward, that's why she limps while walking.
Are there any latest treatment that help relief pain...

Hi Anon

Again, unless there is a diagnosis of what's wrong, treatment is too hard to assertain.

An over the counter pain medication could help for now but she really needs to see a doctor.
