If you have had a regular period in June, and your last sexual encounter was in April, you would have no chance of pregnancy.

Thanks so much for your reply. Its so nice of you to spend the time advising. Well I booked a same day doctors appointment today and got no help. They said because its only my second majorly irregular cycle I had to wait for blood tests. I was so upset I started crying. I just feel so worried and rushed and disappointed that she couldn't give me any answers. I have thought about PCOS before and yes I do have some symptoms (bad skin mainly) but I don't have some of the typical signs like weight gain and hairyness. I think thats what she's going to check me for when I go back in a couple of months i'm not sure she just mentioned checking my hormone levels.

I worry so much about it as I am really maternal and me and other half are wanting to try for a baby in a year so I worry that my fertility is going to be compromised. I'm very in tune with my body and i'm almost certain the last two cycles i've not ovulated and now i'm thinking the worst :(

Sorry for the moan its just been one of those days.
Thanks again, Sarah x

hi susan or anyone else who can help. my last cycle was 47 days, and this one is (so far) 39 days. Its normally around 33-34 days long. I don't have any signs of it coming yet but did have a light bleed for over a week of brown blood mid cycle a few weeks ago. I'm really worried and because I work shifts I don't have any time until next week to go to the doctor.

I am 25, not on any bc but we use condoms 100%. No accidents. I have had some tummy pains off and on throughout the cycle, sometimes at one side and sometimes in the middle. don't feel anymore stressed than usual- what kind of prblems can cause late periods?

My name is Auriel. My period has been late two months in a row. In april I was 5-7 days late. I have not come on for may yet. Is there a possibility that I am pregnant? What does this mean?

In March my cycle was 2 weeks late and very light and lasted for 4 days. I did not have a cycle at all in April. I do not feel like it is coming either. I have unproteced sex with my ex but only once last month. I took two home pregnancy test in March and two Dr. office test and all came back negative. Why would my cycle be like this? I am 30. My cycle normaly will change twice a year but I know the signs of that.

Hi, Cary. I'm sorry I forgot to give some info, haha. I'm 20. I stopped my birth control in December due to financial issues. I'm going to the clinic to get some soon. I got a new job in January. It has been just a bit stressful. I have one of those bosses that blames EVERYTHING on the new person, even when I'm not the culprit.

This problem started in March. I was travelling at the time "it" was supposed to happen, going to a big concert in Norfolk, VA, on the 19th. That's a 12-hour drive from where I live, Auburn, AL. The trip was stressful as a lot of things went wrong. I don't see how that could affect me this month too though.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

Hi Anonymous-

This is frustrating, isn't it. I am wondering what else is happening in your life. Are you under a lot of stress? Has your diet changed dramatically? Are you having any health issues? I know what you mean about ninja sperm with a condom...it happens. I've seen it happen. Since you sound very careful, it makes me think there is something else going on with your body that is making your cycle change. Sometimes even a new job will have you syncing up with the women you work with and changing your cycle.

You don't mention your age, but that can be a factor, too. The thing about the menstrual cycle is we expect it to do it's job in a timely manner, but it evolves over time and there are changes we can't always identify. But think about your life lately and maybe you'll come up with some stressor or hormone changer that is causing your issues.

Good luck.

Hi. I'm having similar problems to the original poster except I've had no sexual intercourse without a condom. There were no holes, rips or anything else. This is my second month in a row being late. Last month was two weeks and it's already about a week and a few days late this month. I took a pregnancy test just to make sure a condom didn't have some sort of microscopic hole and my boyfriend doesn't have ninja sperm and everything else and nope, all clear.

Okay. So. . . what gives?

Hi Chrissy-

Since this has gone on for a couple of months, I suggest you contact a health care provider. You may be having some hormonal changes or some other physical issue that affects menstruation. You don't mention your age or nutritional status, but these can have a big effect on your cycle.

Are you having unprotected sex? Is that why you are doing pregnancy tests? If that is the case, it is possible that you are having post pregnancy spotting. Either way, I recommend seeing a professional. You need to find out what is going on in case you have a health issue that needs treatment, or a pregnancy that needs monitoring.

Good luck.
