Q:

Some weird bump on the roof of my gums.

I was eating hot nachos, and one of them got stuck on the top of my mouth. Like I said it was HOT, and I had to use my finger to get it out of my mouth since it wouldn't budge.
As I've expected my mouth started burning, so I got an ice cube to cool it down. But now I have this weird bump, it feels slimy, and it doesn't hurt when I touch it, it just feels really weird because whenever I swallow I can feel it with my tongue.
I don't understand what this is.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

This bump is a blister. You burned the roof of your mouth by eating a very hot piece of food. The same thing happens when boiling water comes in contact with your skin.

Leave it alone and it will heal on its own. Is this helpful?

Regards,
Maryann
