Something like a cord in my vagina

I had it too, some people form extra skin, some baby girls are born before their vagina is fully developed.. could be a couple things, none of which is usually anything to worry about. it will eventually detach, or you can have a doc remove it for you.

Me and my boyfriend had sex 2 weeks ago. Both virgins. My hymen broke I know Cause there was a lot of blood. And of course it was very painful. He couldn't go all the way in and it hurt so badthat we had to stop. I wasn't really sore afterwards but IF bled until the next morning. We tried again yesterday after doing foreplay. When he first went in it didn't really hurt, but after he got halfway in it felt like he was pushing down on a very sensitive spot and the pain was unbearable. He couldn't go in any further Cause it felt like something was blocking the rest of the way. I cried afterwards Cause it hurt so bad and bc couldn't have sex with him. I'm 16 and small framed but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I feel really alone bc I can't talk to my parents about this and none of my friends have or have ever had this problem. I just wanna know what's wrong with me so I can fix it and love the life of a normal 16 yr old girl. I tried feeling around with my finger to see what was blocking it. When I felt back there, Its like theres this lump of semi hard, squishy tissue and Its swollen from yesterday. I aloso felt this cordlike structure in there too. Could the lump of tissue be my hymen. If so, why is it blocking him from going any further and how can I fix it? I tried going around and behind it but I can't get past it. Please tell me what is wrong with me and how I can fix it. :( I'm not gonna stop worrying about it until Its fixed..

this happens to me as well. i´m too scared to have sex because of it and it´s to embarrassing to tell my friends or parents or to go to a gynaecologist. please someone help me. also tampons go in easily but it´s hard and painful to take them out.

I am thinking about having sex soon. I have this same problem does this skin affect anything to so with sex

My boy fiend broke that tissue by accident. Should I go see a doctor or will the remaining tissue go away on its one... it hurts by the way.

I realized I had this when I was 13 or so, and I'm 16 now. I told my mom about it and she called me crazy. I was sexually involved and my partner made me very uncomfortable when he noticed I had that. I just recently brought it up to my mom and she just looked at me and rolled my eyes. Is there any place I can go that will do this procedure for free? Could this be considered "child neglect" ? HELP!

Im 19. I have this this circle like thing around my hole and when something goes in it it dont hurt but when something big goes in well it wont let is because of the cord like circle.Can you please tell me what this is and if its normal?

I am now 15 years old and i have noticed this cord like thing over a year ago when i first used a tampon. I didnt know what to think at first but i am glad to know its normal. But i have an issue. Well mine broke so it is just hanging.. I don't know what to do i am embarrassed and scared. Help please !

I had that string thing to. I have been so worried about it I honestly thought I was weird or something. I really want to get it removed because tampons sound so much easer but it really sounds so em-brassing. Hope I find the courage to tell my mom. thanks heaps! glad to know there are other people too, Just out of curiosity did anyone get it removed? And what was it like?
