ask: spotting right before period?

i noticed that right before my period (which was early) i had some dark brown discharge. it was super little and i had my period like hours later. i've only had outercourse before but is that spotting?

Hi Anon

Spotting (either dark or normal looking blood) is common before the "real" start of a period. For some women, it happens regularly, for others only occasionally or very infrequently. If you have not had intercourse, and you have your period now, then you are not pregnant.
