Stiff Knees

I am Male 35 and work as a web designer. I do not excercise or walk much.

From past few days when I wake up or sometimes when I am just lying on bed on my back, my knees get stiff and I have to shake both knees a little to make it active again.

Why it is happening? Is it something serious?

Hi again Amara,
You should probably have that checked by your physician as we cannot diagnose you on here...rather provide you information. It sounds as if you may have some issue going on but it may be another underlying issue. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment. Could you kindly keep us updated?

Best of luck,
Missie

Hi Amara,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. If you are sedentary most of the time….exercise would probably be your best bet to stop the pain. Are you overweight? If you are, this itself is a concern in addition to the sedentary lifestyle. Have you seen a doctor yet? Following up with your doctor would certainly be necessary to make sure you are not experiencing any blood clotting etc..

Please let us know.

Dear Missie,

Thanks for the prompt response. My weight is 100 KG and I do not have pain in my Knees. It just that when I wake up or some times lying on my back I could not stand until I shake my legs a little.
