Hi minnplayboy,

It is normal to hear the "pail of water" in your stomach-- particularly after you've had liquids. Passing gas and belching are related to the foods that you are eating. Gas-producing foods include: carbonated sodas, leafy green vegetables, fruits, carbohydrates, oats, beans, and milk and dairy products.

Pushing down on your stomach will also cause flatulence because you are pushing down on your intestines and releasing any trapped air that may be inside.

Best,

Rosa
