Hi, I had unprotected sex on the 17th day of my 30day cycle, after which I took postinor 2 immediately. Exactly a week later we had protected sex but this time the condom broke is it advisable I use a the postinor again and what are my chances of pregnant

Hello. Thank you for posting.

ECP prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. If POSTINOR-2 is used more than once in a menstrual cycle it is more likely to upset your menstrual cycle. It can cause a delay in your periods, a lighter or heavier flow. ECP is a very large dose of hormones. So it's not advised. Though the decision to take it is up to you. Just be aware of the possible irregularity it may cause.

Thank you for the response but what are the chances of getting pregnant?

Hi,

Likely low as you had already taken the ECP and ovulation prevented. But we cannot say with any certainty. We can only provide information.
