ask: is there anyone out there that is suffering from post herpetic neuralgia one year or more after the shingles outbreak?

Hi Renee

I am not a sufferer, but it is not uncommon to have long term problems with post-herpetic neuralgia. Please let us know if you have any questions. I'm sure you'll find some support here, and if we can be of assistance, please let us know.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this, I know how miserable it can be. Thank you for writing.

Thanks for the support. I've cut my hair down very low (it actually starting breaking from the root on the right side only --this is the side the shingles were on), and at night (that's when the phn really gets unbearable) I place a cold ice pack on my head. I am also still taking neurotin and Tylenol --temporary relief is all I get.
