I am on birth control pills and have been for the past year. I had unprotected sex last saturdy (my first time after 6months of not doing it). My bf did not cum inside me. I got my period when I was supposed to, which was a couple of days ago. But today, especially, I've been urinating a lot more frequently, but only today. I know that frequent urination is a sign of pregnancy. And I'm wondering, is there a chance to be pregnant, even if you get your period when you're supposed to?

Hi Kaira,

Thanks for your question. If you are on birth control then you didn't have unprotected sex last Saturday-- unless you forgot to take your pill? To answer your question, if you had your period at the time you were supposed to get it, then you are not pregnant. Frequent urination is a common symptom of pregnancy but it is not specific to pregnancy-- it can be related to a UTI, increase fluid intake, diabetes, etc. If you are also feeling pain every time you go, you may have a UTI or another bladder infection so it would be a good idea to call your doctor.

Best wishes,

Rosa
