Q:

Is there a connection between mood and full moon?

During full moon the gravitational pull is stronger and people who are more sensitive to it will actually feel body fluids pulled down against the earth. Could this explain moodiness (lunatic behavior) during those full moon days? The brain is suspended in water-like fluid, is it then possible that we are at our worst during those days?

WRONG
even if the moon is not full , ITS POSITION determines gravitational pull.
The moonphase determines LIGHT.
Are we influenced by the sun's Light ? yes.
Are we influenced by the sun's reflection on the moon ? > yes.
peace and be logical.

As we are coming up on the full moon, and being a Virgo; I feel extra sensitive at this time. I've been monitoring my habits and behavior for the past 2 full moon phases, and I DEFINATELY become more irritable and more emotionally distraught during the week of the full moon. I find that I am more aggressive and easily set off by the slightest things during full moon phases.

I have to agree with Kristin. In fact, full moons were so notorious that if things started going crazy on the news desk at night, we'd make the clerk check to see if it was a full moon. Especially on nights when we had one breaking story after another. One way or the other, we rarely had a quiet full moon.

Made me curious, though, as to whether there was any proof. Here's a Psychology Today article that discusses two different studies of the phenomenon; neither of which was able to make a connection:

I guess I'll buy that, but not before I point out that "lunacy" is based on luna, the Latin word for moon....

I do know that things seem to go crazy for many people during a full moon. From my days as a journalist.... it seemed like the oddest stories would come in during that time of the moon's cycle.

More likely that you are getting a little extra light in around your curtains and it is affecting your sleep.

If you can't get to deep restorative sleep and stay there long enough, your body cannot conduct maintenance correctly.

You will be a grouch.

Try this simple trick that Fibros use:
Wear an eye mask and ear plugs to block out all light and all sound - at your head.
