Tinkling feeling down left side of head which then goes into a real fullness feeling in the back of ear.

I started feeling the tinkling/streaming feeling going down the left side of my head and then goes into a real full feeling behind the ear. It's not painful, but just very strange feeling. This goes on a couple times a day now since probably May 2013; seems like it started after flying, but have flown a few times afterward, no problems on flight. My doctor said it's just sinusitis, that's where the sinuses are, went back to my clinic again and the nurse practitioner said the same thing. I'm not on any medications. Not sure if I should be concerned and ask for a CT scan or what is going on, I just know it's not a normal feeling.

Hi lisagjl,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  The feeling of fullness in the ear can be due to fluid build up in the middle ear.  If you are still having discomfort, you might want to see an ENT (ear, nose and throat doctor).  He might suggest having imaging test done and prescribing treatment for it. Such as a nasal decongestant, if it's due to fluid in the ear. Hope this was helpful?
