Hello !
I am 27...miscarried in November ( 5-6 weeks.). We are now trying again. I ovulated around July 20th...very intune with my body. It is now 6 days past ovulation. Change in dischargea, slightly nauseated, nipples are a touch 'zingy'. Way to early for a upt. I am an RN and I worked in gyn for 4 years, so I know what to look for. Just so different when you are on the other side of the fence... and I don't want to jump to conclusions. Do you think...just maybe this could be early preggers? Looking forward to any advice. Thanks for your time :)

Hi stachiarn,

Thanks for your question and welcome to EmpowHer!
As I am sure you know, pregnancy is a process and not something that happens immediately after having sex. Usually, the earliest sign of pregnancy is Implantation Bleeding (Spotting) which may occur one week before your next period is due. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping. Other early symptoms of pregnancy are fatigue and swollen/tender breasts which occur 1-2 weeks after conception.

If you ovulated 6 days ago, it is still too soon for some of your symptoms. Keep in mind that at day 6 after ovulation, your body is still working on the journey from taking the fertilized egg from the fallopian tube to the uterus where it will implant. This process itself will take 7-10 days and that's when you may notice some spotting.

Please be patient and continue to take care of yourself as if you were pregnant. After all, you want to conceive in the healthiest state as you possibly can. We, or anyone else for that matter, can only hypothesize right now as to whether or not you could be pregnant. Is it a possibility? Of course. Can we tell you for sure? Unfortunately, no one can. If you are late on your next period, take a pregnancy test and keep us posted!

Best of luck to you,

Rosa

Thank you for your reply. My lmp was 7-7...not 7-14...doesn't make much of a difference. Just hating this waiting game, trying to keep my mind busy and hope for the best. I just can't go through another miscarriage. It was devastating. One thing keeps me optimistic though...atleast we can <3

I understand and I'm sorry for your loss. Miscarriages are sometimes inevitable but, like you said, it doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying. I also had a miscarriage years ago with my first pregnancy and now have two beautiful healthy children. Don't ever lose hope and if you don't conceive this month, keep trying. :)

Sending positive vibes your way,

Rosa

P.s...last cycle started 7-14...like clockwork. Had lower abdominal cramping 1.5 days ago...slightly bloated, slight lower backache. Thanks y'all.
