Hello and thank you in advance to all who try to help =)
I had my tubes tied after my last pregnancy (17 months ago) and since then I have not paid much attention to what day of the month my period starts. I do know I had my period in February (my guess is I started on the 14th or 21st - it was a Sat. and towards the later part of the month) and it's now going on April and I have not had a period. I know it's very unlikely that I could get pregnant after having my tubes tied BUT I conceived my three boys extremely easily. I'm just a fertile mertile ;) So, I do not doubt my bodies ability to get pregnant. I did take a pregnancy test last thursday (March 26) and it was negative. I don't currently have health insurance, if I did I would just make an appt to see my Doctor. What are your thoughts? Think I could be pregnant? FYI my periods are never late. If anything they come early and they last abour 7-8 days (ugh!!).

P.S. If I were indeed pregnant would I get a positive pregnancy test if it was an ectopic pregnancy?

Hello Anonymous,
The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. My guess is there is an upset that caused the flow to be different.
Keep us updated once you see your gynecologist.

Hello, so for the months of May, June and July I have had what I think is my period. It only lasts maybe a day and is light last month (June) it came on the 11th this month (July) it came on the 8th which is earlier. I used to be right on time all the time. Certain smells now get to me and make me nauseous and I get dizzy sometimes and headaches. The bottom part of my stomach is loose and flabby but my upper stomach is hard and sometimes I have really bad pain in my lower back and or lower stomach. I'm 39 years old and had a tubal in May of 2005. Think I need to be worried and take a pregnancy test or maybe just my body changing with my age? Thank you

Both are possibilities. Start by taking a home pregnancy test. Test in the morning.
At age 39, you may be staring perimenopause early.

I had my tubes tied 8.5 years ago. My period is 4 months late. My tummy is swelling and I chalked it up to weight gain. I've been having heartburn in the late afternoon/ evening. Two home tests and a dr pee test all show negative. I'm 35 and they won't do a blood test until I have a pap however they can't get me in until November.

All that I can suggest is visiting a woman's health clinic and see if you can have a blood pregnancy test done there.

I got my tubes tied almost 3yrs ago and my period is 8days late. My period is always on time every month, I took a pregnancy test on the 5th missed day and it came up negative. what are your thoughts

I would repeat the test. Wait another three days. Test in the morning and use the first urine of the day. Then call and speak with your gynecologist.

Please help!
Two and a half year ago I got my tubes tied after last pregnancy. Last month my period lasted for 10 days but it was light pink spotting for four days then the rest light pink watery light flow the rest. I had a scare this weekend and felt my head swimming and light headed and faint. I am now 7days late with light and dark red spotting here and there not enough for a panty liner. I have also takin 3 home hcg test and they all came out neg. I also went to a clinic and their test came out neg. I am not in pain so they didnt want to go further. What should I do am I pregnant Im scared if i am it might be in my tubes.

Hi.. I'm 34 yrs old... and my tubes has been tide for 9 yrs... I ovulated on the 12 of may. Since 1 dpo I've had lower back pain up to now. . Also, I usually get breast tenderness a week or two before my period but nothing... Im two days late and cramping. My last period was April 1... could u be pregnant

I had my tubes tied for almost 4 years now. I started my period right befor mothers day. Bit is wants the same. It was really light. I have been spotting off and on from then to now. My back really hurts and i keep throwing up. Could i be pregnant?
