Two months without a period

I've had a myomectomy in 2008. I've had ultrasounds and scans that currently show absence of fibroids. I'm negative for PCOS as well. I've had issues with my periods since after the surgery with my periods returning to normal, to heavy with clots and then going haywire again. I was placed on Provera tabs for three months. My periods returned to normal for a moth after the Provera treatment, but now, I've not had a period for two months. What else could be wrong?

Hi Anonymous,

You may have to return to your doctor if you do not get your period for a third month to determine what could be causing your missed periods. If you do get your period next month, it may be heavier than usual because you haven't had one two months in a row.

Please continue taking your provera pills and keep us posted.

Good luck,
