Q:

Ulcerative colitis complicated by menopause? HELP!

I have had UC since 2003 and have been highly functional on Asacol with occasional flares. In 2010 I have been diagnosed in the menopause and subsequently my UC has flared since February and is not responding to any UC meds.
Please advise if the menopause is complicating my condition and if there is a known solution. Thanks.

Hi Robin,
I wanted to make sure and link our current discussion regarding this same question to your original ASK question (so the two threads are linked): Does Menstrual cycle affect symptoms of UC.
