I recently had a minor prolapse repair, I noticed a week later I was still having a very slight watery blood stain I realised it was for the Urethra, it also felt sticky, It has not got better or worse, I am past the age of having intercourse, also seem to be using my bladder more often, there is no pain or smell. could it be just a minor infection

Hi Anon,

Thank you for reaching out with your question to the EmpowHER community!

It is very possible that the discharge is an after-effect of your prolapse repair. Your body may still be recovering after the procedure, and the bleeding may be coming from that.

If your bleeding continues to last for over a week after your procedure, I would definitely call your doctor. Explain what you are experiencing to them and set up and appointment for a check up.

How long ago did you have your procedure?

I hope this has helped! Please keep me updated and let me know if you have further questions.

Best,
Erin
