Hi perlaR

Welcome to EmpowHer and thanks for your question; it's a really good one and one that many woman have after having a child and/or breastfeeding.

The quick answer is that you don't know. Missing three pills in a row can definitely trigger ovulation so you may be facing pregnancy or you may not even be ovulating yet since you only had your baby in April. Are you breastfeeding full-time? While this is no guarantee, if often helps protect against pregnancy as it usually delays ovulation.

Your best bet is to keep taking the pill (the risk to an unborn baby is very low) and take a pregnancy test a few times over the next few weeks. Or you could schedule a blood draw at the lab at your doctor's office which will confirm things for you in a matter of a day or two. How long ago did you forget to take the pills?

Remember that taking your pill is so important. I know we get wrapped up in the business of life (like a newborn!) but it takes a mere second and if you are not ready for another, when taken correctly, it's rare to get pregnant on the pill.

Congratulations on your baby and keep us posted!
