Now its July and I expected my period to be on the 24th and yes i did have my period that day but its July 29 and my periods are still on. Is it normal to have a 4 day period last month and then have a period this long?? I there a chance of getting pregnant? Help im only 15 and im really scared :-((

Guide

Dear Anon,

Thank you for your post.

If you are having your periods, you are not pregnant. The amount of time that a girl has her period can vary. Some girls have periods that last just 2 or 3 days. Other girls may have periods that last 7 days. The menstrual flow can vary from girl to girl, too. This is normal at your age. As you get older your periods should become more regular as your hormones regulate. Moving forward, unprotected sex is not safe. Use protection if you are afraid of getting pregnant.
