A week ago my calcium was 10.8 now its 11.5. What would you do if you had only one parathyroid gland left.

Hi carol,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Most doctors suggest to their patients that have had their parathyroid glands removed. To take a high dose of Calcium and Vitamin D every day for the rest of their lives in order to carry on the daily functions. You need to discuss with your surgeon or doctor your test results.

Best,

Daisy
