Weird feelings

My period didn't come at all for the whole month of march. When it finally came on Saturday April 1 it ended on Wednesday April 5. Normally my period is 7 days. If it starts on Saturday it ends on the next Saturday. I noticed that my first day blood was a darkish color, not what it normally looks like on the first day, the second day my period got super heavy, then the third day went to a normal flow, the next two days I barley bleed. I took a test the Friday before the 1 of April. It was negative. I've been having mood swings I guess you could say, but half the time I don't know what I'm mad about or what I could be mad about. I've been eating a lot and I have been peeing a lot. My stomach hurts, I haven't felt nauseous at all, I'm just very confused about what this could be, the test was negative then I had a little small 5 day period. My period is always normal. What's going on with me ?

Hello Andreatiffany,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.

Consider scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist. I do not know why your period presented so differently other than to suggest a hormonal upset.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by a very precise balance of hormones. Any upset in that balance can cause a change. With a physical exam and any necessary blood tests, your physician can give you the reason.

Keep us updated,
Maryann
