Q:

Weird Period

I sent this question two days ago but it was probably lost, so, here I am again:
FTW: I am 19, a virgin, not on the pill.
So my period is right on time (for the most part) and is usually about 3-4 (4 max!) days total, not including spotting days, and is averagely medium flow.
For the past year and a half or so, some periods I have, like this one, that are 2 days of medium flow, a day of barely existing flow & then a light day and spottings.
Is that normal? Should I be worried?
Again, it has happened a lot.
Thanks.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

It sounds like are regular in general but have bounds of irregularity. Our periods are dictated by our hormones - you may have hormonal levels that are a bit imbalanced. Your doctor can order blood tests to let you know for sure.

Best,
Susan
