We're so sorry you're dealing with this. Is the person abusing narcotics a spouse? A parent? A child?
Rosa is right -- there are emotional, physical, spiritual and financial effects of narcotics abuse in a family. But there is help available. Please let us know more so we can be of some help.

My 28 year old son got addicted to prescription drugs, due to nerve damage pain. I hate to see him hurting, but he can't take drugs (because he abuses them... and he can't get any anyway). In the past I have enabled him. I know that hurt him more than helped. I NEED TO GO TO MEETINGS TO BE ABLE TO HELP MY SON AND STOP ENABLING HIM. I live in Alabama.
