I have been on birth control for a little over a year. I have taken them perfectly up until recently. I started my new pack three weeks ago on Tuesday. I take them at 8 p.m. I missed Wednesday's pill, but took it Thursday morning around 8:30. My husband and I went out Thursday night, so I missed Thursday nights pill. I took it Friday morning around 9 a.m., and I took Friday's pill on time. I also took Saturday and Sunday's pill right on time. We had unprotected sex on Sunday, and I have taken my pills perfectly every day since. I never really thought much about it, but now have started to worry. What are my chances of being pregnant? I've had no spotting or other pregnancy symptoms, but I am so nervous and upset.

I cannot say for certain. You will know once you have withdrawal bleeding. I can say that the recommended thing to do is to double up to make up for a missed dose. That is to have taken two pills on Thursday- Wednesday's dose and Thursday's dose.
You did double up on Friday, so I think you should have still been protected, especially if you did not have intercourse during these days.

Thank you. I hope you're right. I know I have heard that missing pills during the first week can be most risky, but I have also heard that it is only risky if you go 48 hours or more without taking a pill because it stays in your system for a while.
