ask: What are my options for permanent tattoo removal?

I have a tattoo I'd like removed - it's very colorful which means that it will take longer to remove.

I have heard that tattoo fading creams don't work well but that laser options can take up to a year and can be very painful.

Anyone have a tat removed or have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Great question!

I did a little research for you and found that there are 3 options for tatoo removal: laser, dermabrasion and surgical removal (excision).

Unfortunately, not all tatoos can be removed.

I personally don't have a tattoo, so I cannot speak from experience. I hope someone in our membership can answer you.

Laser removal is the most effective and has less side effects than co2 treatments. It can be slightly painful at times, but treatments are usually VERY quick... Here's more information on laser tattoo removal
