In addition to the above great resources, MedlinePlus (www.medlineplus.gov) and ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, www.acog.org) have different definitions (and symptoms) for many various vulvar conditions; these are just a few of them below.

Vulvovaginitis symptoms:
* Irritation and itching of the genital area
* Inflammation (irritation, redness, and swelling) of the labia majora, labia minora, or perineal area
* Vaginal discharge
* Foul vaginal odor
* Discomfort or burning when urinating

Vulvitis symptoms:
* Redness and swelling of the vulvar skin
* Burning or itching of the vulvar skin
* Thickening of the vulvar skin
* Possible small cracks in the vulvar skin
* Possible vaginal discharge

Vulvodynia symptoms:

According to the ACOG, women with vulvodynia may have some of these feelings around vulva:
* Burning
* Stinging
* Rawness
* Itching
* Aching
* Soreness
* Throbbing
* Swelling
