What are these small cuts/sores?

I had 1 or 2 cuts/sores in or around my vagina. A little inside the lips. It probably happened after dry humping with fabric. I noticed right when I got home. Today I had sex and it would hurt after. It hurts to urinate. What are these cuts? And how do I heal it?

Anon,

Thanks so much for your question. A day has passed since you wrote; have your symptoms remained the same? Improved? Gotten worse?

I am assuming that you know for sure that these cuts were not there before? You say you think they might have been caused by fabric during dry humping. I can see how sores might develop from friction, but am not sure how cuts would have happened that way.

How large are the cuts?

It probably hurts to have sex now because of the irritation, and it probably hurts to urinate because the urine is stinging in the cuts and sores.

If these are just newly caused due to sex, all you need to do to heal them is leave the area alone (make sure it is very clean, of course, but just with whatever regular soap you use). They should heal pretty quickly on their own. Don't use any regular antibiotic creams or first-aid solutions, because most are not approved for internal use.

If it is possible that you have had these cuts/sores longer, I would recommend a trip to see your doctor.
