What is the best type of pain reliever for menstrual cramps?

A pain reliever like Advil should do the trick for pain or cramps or there is a product called Midol that states it can also help with bloating and tiredness caused by your period. 

I think a heating pack or hot water bottle on the lower abdomen is a great way to go. Lots of hydration (water!) and a good night's sleep will help too.

Try to lay off the sugar and salt even if you crave it, as well as caffeine.  Some fresh fruit can help ease sugar cravings and something savory like a palm full of pistachios for salt cravings are both healthy options.
