Peyronie's disease is a problem caused by scar tissue, called plaque, that forms inside the penis. It can make the penis to bend upward or to the side. Most men with Peyronie's disease can still have sex. But for some, it's difficult or painful. There are treatments, but it’s not always needed because the condition can fade on its own.
