Q:

What can cause post menopausal bleeding?

Have had two episodes of PMB. Just had transvag U/S last Wednesday. Results at doc's office on Friday. Unfortunately doc had already gone home when I called on Friday afternoon. Nurse not able to provide results but did say that it wasn't cancer. However, added that there would be more tests. What does this mean? What could cause PMB? How does transvag U/S rule out cancer?

I will call back on Monday but that seems a long way away right now. I'm worrying myself silly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Sue

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Unfortunately until the doctor can interpret your test results, all I can do is let you know what could potentially be causing it. Only your doctor can diagnose you.
Below I have pasted a link that lists possible causes for post-menopausal bleeding.

I hope that helps.
